Golnoosh Farnadi obtained a Ph.D. in Computer science from KU Leuven and Ghent University in 2017 with a dissertation on user modeling in social media. She is currently a post-doctoral researcher of the Statistical Relational Learning Group (LINQS) of Prof. Lise Getoor at the University of California, Santa Cruz. She was a visiting scholar at the University of Washington, Tacoma, Tsinguha University, and Microsoft research, Redmond.

Her research areas are in probabilistic graphical models, social network analysis and fairness in machine learning focusing on computational social science applications in psychology, sociology and political science.
